When To Add?

This is a great question that I find myself thinking about often.  As a leader I am constantly dreaming of the next thing.  When is the right time to add a Student Ministry; College Ministry; Internship Program; Another Campus; First Wednesday Service; Bingo Night; Small Groups; Additional Ministry Teams;  etc.  You get the point (except for the Bingo Night–the answer there is never!).

Today I was brushing up on my blog reading and came across this phrase that stood out at me:

**mediocrity never triggers momentum**

Think about that for a moment.  If our goal is to point people to Jesus, and we know that nobody pays for average, than we can gain a clearer picture of when we should develop a new aspect of our ministry when it moves people toward Jesus and we are able to do it with excellence.

Intentionality and Excellence.  That’s the key.
