I just wanted to say that out loud. sort of.

I went for several reasons:

  1. This series of posts from Perry Noble has been haunting me. Dang you Perry Noble!
  2. This idiot won’t leave me alone about working out.
  3. My weight has been slowly creeping up and to the right.
  4. I want to have a waist.
  5. I have muscles and I’d like to prove it. They’re just hiding under all that insulation.
  6. I want to look good in my speedo.
  7. I want to be a long distance support to this guy. Go for it Gary!

So I’m open to some coaching about working out, eating healthy, and anything else that will help me shed a few layers. I don’t want to be one of those freaks that is always at the gym. I’m not training for MR. OLYMPIA! I just want to be able to run up the stairs without getting winded. As of right now it looks like I will have to go around 6am which bites in a big way. It’s gonna take some serious discipline.

Help Me! please.

I’ll be at the gym tomorrow at 6am. Kick my tail if I’m not there!

Hey Jeff - we met at the round table at NewSpring a while back - I’m excited to find your blog! Woohoo! Also, I too just launched a “work out more” plan. For me, no method has proved successful in the past and I finally got tired of not making the time to exercise. So, I just made an agreement with a close friend (who exercises regularly)- and for every week that I do not work out at least 3 times for 30 minutes…I owe her $100!!!! (And she WILL take my money). 5:30am isn’t sounding so bad after all….

Cheers to disciplined healthy living!
