…and neither are you! I had an epiphany the other day: everyone thinks that they are normal and that the world would be a better place if everybody else were just like them.

I know that at first glance this appears to be another stupid observation by me but hang with me for a moment. Have you ever gotten upset at someone because they didn’t care about something like you do? For instance, why is it one person loves prayer meetings and another can barely stay awake, yet both love God? Why is it the same guy who loves to pray doesn’t serve? Or the gal who can quote every verse of the bible doesn’t get excited about telling people about Jesus? Maybe some people just dont love Jesus like I do or maybe I just dont love Jesus as much as they do!

Who is right and who is wrong? Which one is normal?

Or…

What if we are all right but just different? Didn’t God say that we are all different parts of the same body. If that’s the case, then how silly would it be getting upset at your ear because it doesn’t try harder to see? Doesn’t make sense does it?

Here’s my advice: stop trying to make the world look just like you. Realize that when you get upset at them they are probably just as upset at you for something different. You’re not normal and neither are they. We’re all unique. We’re all weird. Embrace it!

Good stuff man! It’s cool to think about cause I think at times not only do we get upset at others for not being like us but we feel bad about ourselves because we don’t fit in the way we should. Also it makes me feel not so bad about dreading long prayer meetings :D
