Have you been to one lately? Have you ever felt like you were the only one who ________________(fill in the blank).
“Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said, “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” And do you remember God’s reply? He said, “No, I have 7000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!”–Romans 11:2-4
Pity Parties always begin with “I am the only one…”
- Life’s not fair. A fair is a place you ride rides(thanks Perry!)
- You might be the only one.
- You can’t control everyone else but you can control your attitude.
- You are only looking at a small part of the picture…there are 7000 others out there.
- Pity Parties always include complaining.
- Don’t forget a little cheese to go with your whine!
It’s okay to sit on the pity potty; just make sure you don’t stay there so long you get ring around the hiney!
