Uzziah is another young king with a major downfall. The Bible says in 2 Chron. 26, that “as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God gave him success.” The problem as you’ve heard is that success goes to your head. Verse 16 says, “But when he had become powerful he also became proud, which led to his downfall.”
As a pastor I need to be cautious that I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THE BLESSINGS OF GOD BECAUSE WHEN I DO I WILL STOP RELYING ON HIM AND START RELYING ON ME.
Craig Groeschel gives a warning to pastors:Â “If you blame yourself for the decline than you just might take credit for the increase.”
