Proverbs 20:24–”The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?”
There is so much in life and ministry I don’t understand.
- Why does my wife love me?
- Why is my family so awesome?
- Why do I get to pastor such an awesome church?
- Why do I have a passionate staff to work with?
- Why is God blessing us?
- Why did we have 393 people yesterday in the middle of summer?
- Why Why Why??????
I have no clue why! However, what I do know is that while I may not understand why God does what He does I do understand who He is. Our job isn’t to understand but instead to stay instep with where He is leading.
God told Isaiah, “My ways are not your ways. Neither are my thoughts your thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than yours.” I always thought that was God saying to us, “Don’t hurt your feeble little brain. Just let me figure it out for you.” Just keep doing what you are doing Pastor. We are with you, because we believe that you are with Him!
