These 10 characteristics are incredible. I am just listing the main points. You can read the full post here.

1. Religion says, “be good. Jesus says, “be honest.”
2. Religion says, “change.” Jesus says, “be changed.”
3. Religion says, “perform.” Jesus says, “bear fruit.”
4. Religion says, “obey me.” Jesus says, “follow me.”

5. Religion says, “divide up.” Jesus says, “unite.”
6. Religion, again, says “obey.” Jesus says, “repent.”
7. Religion says, “be right.” Jesus says, “be real.”
8. Religion says, “caught ya.” Jesus says, “go and sin no more.”
9. Religion says, “try.” Jesus says, “trust.”
10. Religion says, “do.” Jesus says, “done.”

what a relief that we don’t have to be religious to follow Christ and know God

This is awesome. I have shared this with another friend who is recovering from “religion”. Religion is really doing JESUS a diservice. Thanks to you (and Dave Foster) for pointing this out.

This so hits the mark!!! It’s not about us, what we do, how we serve, how awesome Lifepoint is — It’s all about Jesus–Jesus paid it all–all to Him we owe!!! We have a debt that we can never ever pay back, but the beautiful thing is, we don’t have to. All we can do is to humbly give our lives to Christ & live for Him more and more each and everyday until that glorious day when By HIS GRACE & HIS GRACE ALONE, HE takes us home to be with Him forever.
