Have you ever found yourself wondering if there is a point to what you do?  I have.  Sometimes I allow the things I don’t like to do to steal my joy and my attention.  Sometimes I wonder if what I am doing is really making an impact.  If I’m not careful I can get pretty caught up in this.  I find quite a bit of encouragement from Isaiah–

“But my work seems so useless!  I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose.  Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand:  I will trust God for my reward.”  Isaiah 49:40

Dude, thats so encouraging… I feel that way everyday I walk into Cape Fear. I realize though that even when you feel like theres no point to finish or go on that God is sill there, in his hands. Remember, the word of God will never comeback void!

Wow…A most timely blog. I certainly hope these are rhetorical worries and not real ones that you as a pastor may have. But if for some reason they are, here are but a few ways Lifepoint has positively impacted me (for what it may be worth):
* The first person I saw my first day in attendance smiled at me.
* The second, third, fourth person, etc. did the same.
* I not only felt welcomed. I felt desired and needed.
* I felt that it was “cool” to love God
* My wife and my kids love Life Point as much as I do.
* I do not want to miss a Sunday.
* I want to tell everybody I see about Life Point.
* I have never felt closer to or loved by God.
* I am learning a lot about the great Christian music that is out there.
* I have met wonderful people.

My point is this…What you, Darryl, Brad and everyone else involved with dreaming, creating and building Life Point have impacted me on so many levels and continue to do so almost every day. And I am quite sure that most everyone else will agree. Leadership can often be a very lonely prospect. I believe with every fiber that God has placed you where you for very signicant reasons to which you are holding the mantel well. If your worries were of a more rhetorical nature, than forgive my assumptions. Scriptural encouragement means everything (your pick today encouraged me with a very difficult problem at work- thanks), but people need to hear from others as well. So well done Mr. Kapusta. The vision that God has given you is impacting a great many. Thanks for all you do.

I feel this way everyday.
I’m not in ministry - maybe I should be.
