I am humbled at the thought that I have the privilege every week to stand up and speak the truths of God ’s word. This is a task that I do not take lightly. This is also something that I wrestle with week in and week out. I don’t ever want to stand on stage and be a talking head. My greatest desire is to say what God would have me to say and to say it in a way that people would connect with their heavenly father. This is a big responsibility and I am honored to be given to opportunity.
“For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people.”–1 Thess. 2:4Â
If you have the opportunity to speak here are a few things to remember.
- It’s not your message.
- You’re the messenger.
- If God has called you to this than speak with confidence.
- God has entrusted you.
- Your message should be “Good News.”
- Please God.
- Not People.
- At the end of the day you should be more concerned that God is happy than your church is happy.

Eddie added these kind words on Oct 10 07 at 9:57 pmI hope that you will never forget. I pray that you will always remember. You are precisely right on both counts…it is a tremendous honor, and it is a responsibility of such significance that it’s success may not be measured or realized until we are finally Home! Keep following after His perfect will. I see His hand on you!
