Sometimes God’s principles don’t make sense. Take the tithe for instance. Logic says that I need every penny I can get my hands on to pay my bills. I earned it, I spend it. God says, it’s all His to begin with so return the first ten percent back to Him as a tithe and watch him bless the 90% and make it go farther than the 100%.
It doesn’t make sense.
Here’s another one that doesn’t make sense. God tells us to take one day per week and SHUT ‘R DOWN! Can you believe that? God actually commands that we take a break during the week. When was the last time you shut it down for a day and just enjoyed time with your family or simply relaxing? God wants to remind us that He is the one that holds the universe together…not you.
God says that if you take a day off every week and honor Him that he will honor you and bless you. BUT if you refuse to take a day off an honor Him than all your work will be in vain. You can read about it here.
So this week…why not pick a day and SHUT R’ DOWN. Your family will thank you.
