About this time my friend Daryl was arriving to meet me at PCJ and so I asked him if he wanted to go with me to give this homeless guy a grilled chicken ceasar salad. I didn’t know if homeless guys at grilled chicken ceasar salads but it was worth a shot.So we hopped in Daryl’s blue dodge truck and headed toward Walmart. Deep inside I think I was hoping that the homeless man was no longer there. I was scared. As we turned left into the shopping center Daryl whipped his truck up onto the median in the middle of the intersection. I wasn’t expecting that. I thought we would just drive by and hand it out the window. I wasn’t thinking we would drive up the curb like a monster truck! I got out of the truck with my Grilled Chicken Ceasar salad in hand and walked up to the homeless man.I’m not sure exactly what I said to the guy. I think it was something like, “um…hi…I had an extra salad and thought you might like to have it…it’s a grilled chicken ceasar salad…you can have it…if you want it…it’s a salad…”  He looked me in the eyes and said that I was an answer to prayer!  He began to tell me how he had been out of work and was trying to find a job just to buy some food.  He told me his name…he said it was Stacy.  He said he lived in a camp out in the woods…he asked my name.  I told him it was Jeff.  He asked what I did…I told I was starting a church…He asked me to pray for him…so I did…I prayed for him in the middle of that median.  It was crazy…when I said let’s pray he held out his hands…I wasn’t expecting that.  So there we were to guys holding hands in the middle of the median.  When I said Amen something strange happened.  Something I wasn’t expecting…
