Today we did our service a bit different than normal. We recapped the year by talking about the Top 7 things of 07. It is hard to believe everything that we have been able to do or be apart of over this past year. Here are a few of the highlights:
- Average attendance in 2006=174
- Average attendance in 2007=342
- Percent of growth=97%
- Average attendance in the 4th quarter of 07=406
- Serving the Community
- Seeing the Dream Team grow from 65 to over 100.
- Going from 2 men and a truck to a staff!
- Life-Changing Series
- The Real F-Word
- Messy
- God at the Billboards
- Shine
- Launching Ignite our student ministry.
- Amping up Kidzone and seeing 150% growth.
- The week we wrote names on all our chairs.
Today was great. I don’t believe we should live life looking backwards but it is good every now and then to celebrate what God has done.
Oh yeah, I got to play guitar again today. That makes two times since the beginning of Lifepoint that they called me up to jam. For the record, I was nervous as crap. I used to do this every week without thinking twice but now it scares the dickens out of me. Let’s just hope it doesn’t happen too often.
Q: So what are we dreaming of in 08?
A: More Stories of life change. We live to see people come to know Jesus. I consider it the greatest privilege to think that in some small way God has allowed us to make a difference in the world. I want to do more of that in 2008!
