I get the privilege of baptizing a friend of mine named John tomorrow.  Here’s the exciting part…he wants to get baptized in the OCEAN!

Here’s the even more exciting part.  Daryl had the privilege of leading John into a relationship with Jesus several months ago.  In just a few days John is heading over to Iraq to serve our country.  I can’t think of a greater honor than to baptize a new believer, a friend, and a soldier.

One question: do I wear a wetsuit or should I just man up?  Water temp is 53degrees.

If anyone is available and wants to join us for the special baptism it will take place at 2pm down at South Carolina Ave. in Carolina Beach.

I don’t think Jesus wore a wetsuit when He was baptized… I’m just saying.

I think you should man up. Personally, I only baptize people in heated, indoor baptismals and only in the summer. So, I think you already get a ton of “man points” for baptizing in January anyway.

This is awesome! Congratulations John. Thank you for serving our country and welcome to the Family!
