What a day! We had a jam packed service today. Here are the quick hits from today:
- our longest service ever: 90 minutes. oops!
- Our lobby was jammed between services…my fault.
- Nobody seemed to care that our service went long.
- The goal was for me to speak for 10-15 minutes. Our staff laughed at me when I told them that.
- I spoke for 25-30 minutes. My bad.
- Brad looked at me and said, “I told you so.”
- Brad blogged this after our first service.
- We baptized 24 people today.
- We baptized spouses, parents and kids, and brothers.
- We had another record attendance at 578.
- I got drenched when Brian Barker hugged me. I think he just wanted to soak me.
- “the people of this churched loved me more than I hated them.”–Quote by John just before I baptized him.
- Today was so worth it!
- The message was about changing from being selfish to being selfless.
- Body Broken. Blood Poured Out. For You!
- Your Will not Mine!
- We took communion as a family and it was powerful!
- After communion we showed a documentary of my friend Skip pouring his life out to reach street kids in Bolivia. WOW!
- We’ll post the street kids documentary online soon.
- What a DAY!
- I think we had two people begin a relationship with Jesus today!

Jeff, I just wanted to tell you that today’s service was THE BEST since Jeff & I have been going! I had to work both doors since we were short-staffed, and I am SO GLAD I did! I think I cried during ever single person that got baptized… my kids got saved last night, so they watched BOTH baptisizms, and are now so stoked to be baptized!!! They clapped so hard their little hands were red!! So hopefully the next time…. just have me a COUPLE boxes of tissues handy! lol:)
Thank you for all you do for Lifepoint, your follower’s and the people we help reach & touch! You are definitely not your “typical preacher” (which is a GOOD thing!), but you are TRULY a desciple of God, and I hope you know how much all the people at Lifepoint appreciate you & THANK YOU for starting Lifepoint!!!

Today was awesome! The media team had to give away their chairs 2nd service! I get really nervous when the newly baptized hug you, you might get zapped! : /
Hey Jeff, I wondered if I would really feel different after getting baptized. All morning i was in a bad mood before church and i knew it was just the devil trying to work on me, but i really do feel a peace over me today. Like everything is ok. I am glad i got baptized and Lifepoint is my new home and you got to Baptize me. Today was awesome. My friend and her husband that “dont belive in god” came just to see me get baptized and said it was the only service they have ever been to and not been bored. Starting point is going great and its so good to be able to talk to other people about jesus. Also i am going to start working in the nursery! What a great day! THANKS!
all i can say is Wow! Wow! and Wow! from the message to the music to the Lord’s supper and especially to the baptisms, it was so amazing! all praise goes to the Lord, our Glorious One!!

What an amazing day…I cried the whole service…The presence of God was everywhere…I felt His power when we pulled into the parking lot…We love Lifepoint…To us it is Jesuspoint…I mean no disrespect to our wondrous Saviour but that is how I feel this morning…I keep hearing in my head…THY WILL>>>THY WILL>>> Thanks Jeff…You are the “coolest pastor” to quote one of my sons talking about you to his friends…
What God’s Spirit is accomplishing through Lifepoint Church is no less than astounding! I am both joyful and humbled at the same time that He is allowing us to witness His strong hand at work during these days. There is no doubt in my mind or my heart that there is an annoiting on you Pastor, and I pray for you daily. I do not believe that this wave has even begun to crest yet, and I cannot wait to see what God intends to do next!
