Eye Contact

I have never talked about politics on this blog.  However,  after watching part of Hillary’s speech last night I am convinced that she is the worst speaker in the history of the world.  She had to look at her notes every 3 words.  It was a constant up/down/up/down/up/down.  There was no “eye contact.”  For crying out loud I had to close my eyes and listen.  It was driving me nuts.

If you ever have the chance to speak in public, here are a few pointers:

1. know your material well enough that your face doesn’t have to be buried in it.
2. connect visually with the audience.
3. smiling isn’t a bad idea either.
