Weekend Recap: 3/30

My faith is small.  I wasn’t expecting the turnout that we had this past Sunday.  I’m learning that I should really take God at His word that He really is able to do more than I could ever as or imagine.  Here’s my quick hits on this past weekend.  Sorry it’s taken me till Tuesday to post:

• Both Services were packed!
• The weather was horrible but it didn’t keep people away.
• Our parking and greeters were over the top.  You guys deserve a raise…or atleast a free cup of coffee.
• We had our second highest attendance right at 700.
• A family that we reached out to at Christmas came yesterday.  The husband actually came on Easter and told me Sunday that as a kid he grew up in church and hated it.  He said that he could count the number of times he has been since being a kid on one hand.  He came to Easter and God absolutely changed his life.  He said that this week has been a complete 180.  PRAISE GOD! Oh yeah, he brought his wife this week!
• A mom pulled me aside and said that she was here because her 17 year old daughter had quit on God several years ago but recently something has changed and that her daughter is pursuing God again!  She said Lifepoint helped cause that change!  She said that she had to see what it was about!  NOTHING PUMPS ME UP LIKE LIFECHANGE!
• This is just the beginning!
• Talking about Suffering isn’t easy but you I quickly discovered that “suffering unites a room.”  It is one of the few things that everyone has in common.
• I had more people want to talk to me after the message than ever.  I’m amazed at how God can take some simple words and use them to impact lives.
• I had a few conversations that were very interesting but I can’t share them with you right now…maybe someday.
• We ran out of chairs during the second service…we’re buying more this week.
• Anybody got an extra trailer that we can have? (it never hurts to ask)

This week was powerful.  It just makes me wonder what God has next????
