Today was the start of a new series called “21.” Â I can truly say we did not copy hollywood on this one…it was sheer coincidence. Â This new series has nothing to do with counting cards. Â The goal of this series is to give people some practical tools over the next 21 days to help them grow in their relationship with God. Â Today was a great start.
Â
- We were missing quite a bit of people today. Â Attendance was 480. Â If you missed today you can catch on Tuesday at lifepointmedia.tv.
- If we want to experience life change we need to 1) change the way we see ourselves 2) change our focus.-watch the message online it will make sense then.
- We gave away custom made lifepoint “21″ journals to everyone in attendance. Â I am pumped to think that as a church we will spend the next 21 days reading the same scriptures and growing together. Â If you missed today and don’t want to get behind, we will post the reading plan and a sample journal page on the lifepoint blog.
- We really got to see the versatility of our worship team today. Â Our drummer was running pretty behind so we changed a song, swapped some people and rolled on. Â We ended up with Drew moving from Lead Vocals to Drums, Dave moving from not even singing to leading…and somehow he wound up with a guitar in his hands. (p.s. Dave doesn’t play guitar)

- I got to meet several folks who have been coming since Easter. Â It’s exciting hearing their stories.
- Hands on Wilmington was awesome yesterday! Â I’ll post the video tomorrow.
- My Feet are killing me…feets don’t fail me now!
- Our DreamTeam was jacked up today. Â I love serving with such a dedicated team!
- We got some new lifepoint shirts in this week. Â I can’t wait to give them away!
- I ran into someone at the park yesterday and they told me they were going to another church now…I’m glad for them but it still hurts.
- My Homeless friend Stacy showed up today out of the blue…what a surprise.
- We’ve had a busy community lately. Â Last week was Azalea Festival, this week was a huge airshow and Hands on Wilmington…I’m ready for a normal hang at the beach and do nothing weekend.
- I’m headed to Burlington to hang with Tadd Grandstaff and some friends at Pine Ridge Church this week. Â I’m exhausted but still looking forward to it.
- I’m pretty bummed Gary is not going to be there.
- Sounds like my boy Matt at C3 had another slamming weekend! Â I’m proud of those guys…who would’ve thought God would turn a tobacco field in to a church making a massive impact on the community!
- This week is going to fly by…better buckle up!
