Today while reading Psalm 63 I was rocked with the first sentence. Â It says this:
“O God, you are my God…”
I had to stop and let that sink in. Â GOD IS MY GOD! Â In the words of Dave our student Pastor, “can you smell what I’m stepping in?” Â God is my God! Â The God who hung the stars in the sky is my God. Â The God who created the tiny hands and fingers of my kids…He is my God! Â The God who created the universe and placed the planets in orbit is MY God. Â
Don’t let that those words slip by too easily. Â Too often I take God for granted as if He is some strange force hovering around the cosmos. Â This verse paints a different picture. Â His is not “A” God but “My” God! Â
WOW!
Read the rest of the passage in light of God being YOUR God!
I search for You.
My soul thirsts for You.
Your love is better than life.
I will praise You.
You satisfy me.
You are my Helper.
I cling to You.
You hold me securely.
O God, You are my God!

Gerri Ross added these kind words on Apr 22 08 at 9:59 pmI love how you use the verbiage of “rocked” by a verse. That’s such a perfect way to put it. So much better than that ol’ fashion way of saying “blessed” or “convicted”, those are ugly words, and not in anyway what we feel when a verse “rocks” us. Keep doing what you do, that only you can do. You rock!!
