Today was Mother’s Day. We had monsoon-like conditions and the place still rocked! No words can describe how proud I am of our team today.
Our parking team and greeting team went so far above and beyond it isn’t funny. They were soaked to the bone. At one point during the second service one of our guys who was helping with the parking team came into the service and stood on the front row. He took his shoes off and I could hear the sloshing sound of soaking wet shoes and socks. It was hilarious!
One young lady pulled me aside after the second service and told me that Daryl, our executive pastor had parked her car for her so her little sister wouldn’t get soaking wet! I am so proud to serve with guys to do whatever it takes to serve.
One guy who was soaking wet commented that he’s never had this much fun serving at church…he was on the parking team!
Here is a quick list of other things that took place today:
- Attendance: 559 (today was the first day without our college students. I also noticed that a bunch of our regular folks were out for the day with their moms. This is very encouraging.)
