I’ve always thought that to charge something up it must be plugged in.  However, that is not always true.  This week I took some time to do the opposite.  Sunday night and Monday I took time to unplug.  I unplugged from all the noise and busyness that usually fill my schedule.  I sat down by myself and scribbled one question into my moleskin journal

“God, what do you want to say to me?”

I can’t recall the last time I asked that question and really sought an answer.  My day by myself proved to be one of the most peaceful moments that I can recall.  Did I get all my questions answered?  No.  I got more than answers, I got to be with Jesus.  Isn’t He what we REALLY need anyway.

Proud of you, bro! Glad that you got some time away.

I think Jesus used a Moleskine. That’s what he used for sermon notes and keeping track of people’s names.
