I need some help. I’m calling on all my Wilmington People, especially those with black socks and sandals, to help a brother out. I’m not lost but I’ve got a friend who’s lost something valuable. My buddy Larry lost his wedding ring at the beach this past week. He’s in need of someone who has a metal detector that detects pure gold.
I find it pretty amazing that my friend would go so far as to have me put out an “all points bulletin” for a metal detector. Kinda makes you wonder how God must feel going so far as to send Jesus to seek and save the lost.
Anyway, if you have a metal detector or have a neighbor that has one please let me know.

Jeff I dont know what you mean by going so far as in asking you or how to take that? I hope you mean in a good way?? It isn’t just a gold piece of jewelry. The ring is a symbol of my love, trust, faithfulness and devotion for my wife and best friend of 18 years. I ask you Jeff because you have a huge “blog” following and like a news paper a lot of readers read your blog. Plus you are my friend and friends help friends when in need as I would do for you too.
rebekah king added these kind words on Jul 08 08 at 6:40 pmlarry- i think what jeff means is he finds it amazing that a person would go thru such great lengths to broadcast to such a big audience for help b/c that person so desperately wants to find something so incredibly important in an area with so many tiny grains of sand, or much like in our case- a jesus that would seek out each individual sinner in such a huge world, b/c we are that important to him and he loves us that much.
