WHAT A WEEKEND! As you can tell by the ALL CAPS, we have had an incredible weekend at Lifepoint.
Saturday we hosted our dream team experience for our volunteers with special Guest Pastor Matt Fry. It was not only an inspirational time for our team but it was also a great unifying time. I’ll be sharing some of my thoughts from Pastor Matt later this week.
Here’s my thoughts about today:
- It Rocked! Drew, Dave and the band were absolutley cranking. They discovered a whole new gear today. The worship set was energetic, loud, and super passionate. I was loving it!
- I was a little frustrated this morning when I was leaving the house because it looked like rain was on the horizon. It did rain but it didn’t keep Lifepoint from point people to Jesus.
- One of our leaders, Mark went above and beyond the call of duty today and brought his mower to cut the grass. You can read about him here

- Attendance looked great today! We had 595. Our second service is pushing capacity.
- I don’t have official numbers but it there were a bunch of people that raised their hand saying they began a relationship with Jesus today.
- We launched a new series called Go Fish. I love preaching vision.
- We are currently praying for $50,000 to upfit Ashley High School as well as host several outreaches to the community. Here’s some awesome news–We’ve already had $10,000 committed to the project.
- Our teardown team was cranking today. I love seeing new faces serving.
- My good buddy Dane has let me borrow his motorcycle for the past two days. You guys need to pray for me…I’m lusting.
- There’s a chance I might go deep sea fishing this week…pray for me again.
- I’m excited about having Tadd Grandstaff in town this week. Technically he’s on vacation but I’ve got him speaking to our staff on Wednesday.
- From the sounds of it, God was doing some serious work today at my friends churches.
- I love knowing that I am not alone in church planting.
Yesterday was two amazing services fo sho! You brought it strong man. Awesome job!

Jeff, I’m not sure what it is your eating these days (I suspect its probably the Bread of Life)but it sure is showing up from the pulpit (or what we use for a pulpit)! What’s that phrase you use? “Shuckin’ th’ corn?” That’s what I’ve heard two weeks in a row! The old fashioned word for it is unction! Rip it up and set it on fire man!
