We had a great day at Lifepoint today! Here are my thoughts…enjoy.
- Then She Found Me movie download
- Today was our fall-kickoff services.
- We launched a new series called “At The Movies.” We started it off with the Dark Knight. I felt like the message connected really well. (first service atleast)
- The power went off several times second service which was a major fiasco. I had to preach with no mic for about 5 minutes…as it turns out, I have a very loud mouth.
- Trying to show a video clip with no power is a bit of a bummer…however, I think people just rolled with the punches.
- The focus of my talk was about enduring through the difficult times. I used the one line by Harvey Dent when he says, “the night is darkest just before the dawn.”
- Attendance was strong today=603
- We were down quite a bit of college students today. I was told they went home for the hurricane. Hope to see them back next week.
- We launched our first time guest tent today. It was a big success! We had 34 guest turn in first time guest cards and get a free Lifepoint T-shirt.
- Now we have to figure out how to get people to go from raising their hand indicating they began a relationship with Jesus to checking off the connection card. We had about 8 hands raised second service and only a few cards turned in. We’re working on it…we’ve got a few ideas.
- Our setup and teardown teams are cranking. I think there should be a set up and tear down olympics. I would put our team up against any other portable church out there. We’ll kick your tails!
- YouthQuest from Liberty University did a great job leading worship today. It was nice to give our guys the week off. Liberty was my stomping grounds from 94-98. WoW I’m getting old!
- Our children’s ministry had record numbers in the 9:30am service today! Tiffany Arthur and the Invisibles dvdrip
and her team are doing an incredible job!
- Popcorn in the lobby was a beautiful thing!
- Popcorn and coffee = the smell of heaven!
- Yes I said, “Paul got stoned.” But not in the way you think I said it.
- I don’t think the AC was working today in the gym.
- I can’t wait until the 28th when we get to move to Ashley!
- Baptism on the 21st is going to be amazing.
- This evening starts the beginning of a 21 day countdown to our Ashley move.
- All the staff are participating in a Daniel fast in preparation for what God wants to do through Lifepoint!
great to see you guys this weekend – your flow was flawless….even with the power blowing out! We’re so excited for you guys and all that God is doing in Wilmington through Lifepoint!
