You can always tell when the mailers hit the mailboxes because they are usually followed by some disgruntled phone calls. While it is never our goal to upset people by sending out a mailer it is our goal to grab their attention.
It has always been the heartbeat and the mission of Lifepoint to point people to Jesus. However, I am convinced that too often the church is broadcasting on AM radio to a culture that is tuning in to XM. We want people who don’t know Jesus or even care about church to take a look at the mailer and think…maybe this place is worth giving a shot.

For the record, someone has already called to let us know that they are upset that we used the word “wedgie” on our mailer. They must have gotten one…Mean Girls download
Do you have something against people who got wedgies? What’s up with that!!??? I am SOOO offended. {laughing}
The mailer looks incredible. You should give whoever designed it a huge raise.
I’m excited for your new move. God is doing amazing things through Lifepoint and I love serving in the same town with you guys.

Maybe all of the complaints are from the “PC” guys. You picked a nerdy guy with glasses. Should put a comment underneath… “Hi, I am a PC and I have a Wedgie!”
