Yea I have 3 actually. I have the trinity symbol on my back, the crucified Christ on my left arm and whats known as the Martyrs Cross on the back of my right arm. Each of them mean everything to me, marking different points in my life so far and how Christ has shaped me to be his and pointing me in the direction of true life. I’m sure there will be more to come.
I have a seraphim on my left calf, a sacred heart with a ring of roses on my right bicep, an anchor with a banner above that says “Jesus” and two sparrows holding a banner below that says “My Anchor Forever” on the back of my right arm, a calalily rising from thorns on my right inner bicep, the Japanese character for music on my left shoulder, and a ship sinking into the sea with a banner underneath that says “Love Lifted Me” on my outer left arm. I am hoping to get a chest banner done soon.
3 for me. My first cross on my inner made of two nails crossing. Second I have “Die” and “Daily” on my inner wrists. And I have a old school rose with banner that has Jill’s name on it on my right outer wrist.
2 for me. Holy Spirt dove with blue flames behind it on my inner bicep. and old school box mic with banners that say “Make a Joyful Noise”.
Where is that second one at Lee?
Have a scene from the Alps on my right bicep from when I skiied a glacier on the France/Italian border back in the mid 90′s. Am really anxious to hear your series since I have regretted getting the tattoo since I read
Leviticus 19:28
” ‘Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.
I have 5, tribal bulldog on my back, 1st tattoo, dumb move, tribal on my left shoulder, just a design I liked, Designed my own cross out of 2 spikes on my right shoulder with John 15:13 underneath, Celtic trinity symbol on right bicep..ouch, and Galatians 2:20 in Old English on my left bicep, again..ouch!!
My first was a heart the size of my pinky nail when I was 15, but decided it didn’t hurt too bad so I added tear drops in the shape of a butterfly. It was done with guitar string in a mechanical pencil and a battery operated motor. It now looks like a puppy! When I was 17, I got a frog in the middle lower part of my back. That was also done with a guitar string, but was modified to plug into the wall for more painful power! The rest were done professionally! 2 days after Mike and I were married back in 2003, I got a big butterfly on my lower back. My sister and I got matching tattoos on our lower neck of suns with an ‘M’ in the middle of it, standing for ‘Marvin,’ our grandpa that passed. About a year ago I got a big leopard that takes up the space between the frog and the sun! I guess that makes… Oh wait… I got a matching butterfly with my friend last year too! We put them on opposite shoulders in opposite directions! So that’s 6! It’s so addicting, but I’m running out of room where my clothes can cover it!
I have three.
1. Two Christian fish on my chest
2. A dove on my back
3. A killer stained glass piece on the inside of my right arm… It’s of two hands reaching down
It’s so tight I’d email you a picture of it…by I’m posting this comment from my phone
I have three; my first was an anchor on my left arm, then Popeye anchor on my right bicep, and a Wolf howling at the moon on my left shoulder.
Uh-huh….Got two. I have a band of flame around my right bicept with the latin word “Invictus” which means unconquered, and I have a Maltese Cross with Celtic scrolling on my left calf in honor of my fire department heritage.
keep the comments coming. I like hearing about you tats.
i have the word ‘beloved’ in english on the inside of my left wrist, and in hebrew on the outside. i went through a period of time a couple years ago when i allowed what someone else thought of me to dictate the way that i viewed myself. as i rediscovered the way that god views me as his daughter, i chose to give myself a beautiful, permanent reminder of the way that he sees me.
Jeff – do you have any tattoos?
I have a Celtic style cross I drew on my back. It has four elements inside the cross. The first three symbols stand for peace, love and reassurance. The final symbol I used on my artwork to represent myself. Peace, love reassurance and me. All found in the cross that I carry on my back every day for the rest of my life.
Boyd,
I actually think that tattoos and all who have them are evil. Just kidding. I have two. I have a cross with the word “love” in a banner on my left arm and a trinity symbol on the back of my right arm. I currently want a half to 3/4 sleeve but don’t have it figured out yet.

Ummm yea.. it is def on my left thigh.:)
One Tattoo …. a heart with wings and a halo…..located on my left shoulder. It is my “Angel on my should” in memory of my mother.
My wife and all 5 kids have ink. I’m thinking about it. One of Codi’s tats is the gothic trinty symbol—I didn’t know that was what it is till I read your blog.
Two cherry blossoms.. one behind each ear.
