There is something powerful about seeing those two words together: UNDESERVED GRACE.
Acts 15:10-11–So why are you now challenging God by burdening the Gentile believers[a] with a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors were able to bear? 11 We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”
In default mode we all are tempted to add rules and regulations to being a follower of Jesus. We think, if we love God then we will _____________ or we won’t _______________. You can fill in the blanks with your own preconcieved requirements of being a follower of Jesus. When we do this we add requirements that God never added and we enter into a works based salvation. Only problem is that it doesn’t work that way. We are not saved by works but by “UNDESERVED GRACE.”
As followers of Jesus we must freely give what we have freely received. Who do you need to show UNDESERVED GRACE to today?
Prayer: God, show me, wake me, help me to be a conduit of UNDESERVED GRACE today!
Word. Encouraging. I am always amazed how many mature Christians have turned it into alot of other things. I use the term “mature” loosely. thx.
This was my prayer today. What a grand day it was! Praise God for your great leadership!
