I hope everyone has enjoyed and been challenged while reading the book of James.  We will close out James today by reading James chapter 5.

I think that chapter 5 holds one of the missing components in many people’s spiritual lives.  Too many people are stuck struggling in the cycle of sin because they have never implemented v.16.

Under the Greenwood Tree rip Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

We confess our sins to God first but we should also confess our sins to each other.  The first half is easy.  The second half is scary.  I have found that it is easy to keep going back to God time and again over the same issue.  However, having someone in my life that loves me and will kick my tail if I fall back in sin is another story.  We all need someone who we can be completely honest with.  Someone who knows are struggles.  Have you got someone like that?

James says that there is a healing that comes when we confess our sins to each other.Mamma Mia! psp

powerful words. I’m thankful to have read through James with other members of the church and have been blessed enough to read some of their, along with your insight. It’s always nice seeing things from someone else viewpoint and have my sword sharpened :) God is so good. blessed.
