We had a great day at Lifepoint today! Today was part 2 of our “Life’s A Trip” series. I love this series because we are talking about practical ways that we can grow in our life with Christ.
Here are my thoughts about today:
- Prayer is an action not just a reaction!
- Prayer is a conversation not a presentation.
- We’ve brought in a sound consultant over the past 2 weeks to help us maximize our equipment and dial in our sound. It has been a great investment!
- Our band played as tight as they ever have.
- We had some great stories from today’s services.
- We had a dreamteam member come to know Jesus today! How awesome is that!
- Speaking of DreamTeam, I want to remind you to sign up for Unleash if you haven’t done so already. We’ve got 19 spaces remaining.
- We received one of the greatest compliments today…I wish I could share it with you.
- I’m watching the steelers game right now and am very distracted!
- Go Steelers!
- This week our entire church will be uniting together to pray. The follow are the prayer focus’ this week.
- Monday–Pray for Godly wisdom for our country and our newPresident, Barack Obama.
- Tuesday–Pray for lives to be changed as Pastor Jeff and Drew set off to Ubauna, Brazil.
- Wednesday–Pray for your family to grow closer together and closer to God this week.
- Thursday–Pray that God will continue to move in a big way throughout Wilmington.
- Friday–Pray that Lifepoint would continue to love God, love others, and serve the world in 2009.
- Saturday–Pray that people take steps closer to God tomorrow through our Sunday experiences.
- Sunday–Pray that your heart is prepared to fully worship God and hear what He has to say.
- It still hasn’t hit me that i will be flying to Brazil on Tuesday!
- After the 2nd service today I had a guy who began a relationship with Jesus today walk up to me and tell me that he is looking forward to reading his new Bible! That charges me up.
- I know we had several people come to know Jesus today!
- Our band played “Living on a Prayer!” They did an awesome job! Bon Jovi is not a man! No guy should be able to hit notes like that!
- I met a guy today who said last week was his first time at Lifepoint and that he will be here every week of this series!
- The following six weeks of this series are going to be incredible.
- I love this place!
- I love what God is doing in this City!
- Glory to God!
I’ve read a lot of books on prayer, but your outlook on it just makes sense…no beating around the bush. If you have never been on a silent retreat, I would suggest one. Talk about called to “listen”.
Prayers go with you and Drew on your journey, but also with your families as they hold down the fort.
