When I said “yes” to God I also made this decision.
No more small story living. no more grasping for the glory.
No more fighting for my rights.
No more self-fulfilling dreams.
No more self-promotion.
No more “me” agenda.
No more griping about my role in the story.
No more negativity.
No more “Me, Myself, and I.”
No more safetly.
No more regrets.
man, I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve said Yes but haven’t got past the “but portion”….I still battle not wanting things my way, in my timing and by my rules. Nicely put.
This stuck with me and I bookmarked it. Thanks, Jeff.
But you know, when John the Baptist said, “He must increase, I must decrease” I didn’t understand it. The longer I follow the Lord, the more I see that even if it pains me to suffer through a trial, if I stay really small and trust Him completely, the way He handles it will be to my benefit far more than if I rattled my own cage. I am only on baby steps with this concept, though.
