Every Monday we have a team that writes hand written cards and makes phone calls to first time guests. It is awesome to hear some of the feedback that this team receives. The following is an email that I received from the team lead, Jen Barker.
Hey guys!
Hope you are both doing well. Just wanted to pass along some of the feedback we received tonight while making phone calls to the first time guests from Sunday:
A guy who is 25 told me that he loves Lifepoint now. He described himself as a laid back surfer that doesn’t really getting excited about a lot or “smile” a lot. However, he said that he couldn’t quit smiling as soon as he arrived to Ashley High School yesterday. He said he could feel the love of Jesus as soon as he walked through the doors. He loved the message and after the service, he walked up to the next steps table to find out what he could do to volunteer. He said he was ready to jump in head first.
A 59 yr. old female, said she was “blown away! She loved the service and will be back!” She also asked to be contacted about the women’s connection event next week b/c she knows she wants to be a part of this church and what they are doing!
We had several people to ask about Newcomers and how to get plugged in as well. It is such a privilege to lead this team on Monday nights and have the opportunity to hear first hand what an impact our church is making on the community and the world. Hearing and seeing Jesus changing lives never gets old and pumps me up. Thank you and the staff for all you do and the bold steps you make every day to lead this church the way God is calling you to.
