Over the Top.

No, I’m not talking about that arm wresting movie with Sylvester Stallone.  Although it was AWESOME!  Remember when he would turn his hat around backwards….nevermind.

One of the qualities that I love about Lifepoint church is that we are an over the top church.  I love that the conversation is never, “what is the minimum we can do?” but rather, “what is the most we can do?”  I believe that we serve and over the top God.  He could’ve just created the world using a box of 12 Crayola Crayons but He didn’t.  He used that mega pack that you only dreamed of having back in Elementary…you know the one with the crayon sharpener in the back.

We serve an over the top God.  At Lifepoint we love to go over the top.  I’m excited about this Saturday’s Egg Drop because I believe it is a demonstration of giving our best to God and to our Community!

• We have over 185 Volunteers (we call them the DREAMTEAM) serving at the event.
• We are dropping eggs out of a helicopter.
• We are dropping 30,000 eggs full of candy or toys.
• The Air Force will have their tricked out Suburban and their MONSTER Truck on hand.
• The Fire Department will have some trucks at the event.
• We are giving away an additional 6,000 pieces of candy.
• We will have face painting.
• We will have 9 big honkin’ (its a souther word) inflatables.
• We will have carnival games.
• We will have ident-a-kid DNA kits for families.
• We are coordinating 3 age specific drops.
• We will have a handicap accessible area for children.
• We will have 20 port-a-johns just incase.
• EMS will have a booth on hand.
• The Air force will have their basketball toss.
• and more…

Get ready Lifepoint for the most OVER THE TOP season of Ministry that we have ever experienced.  Just wait until you see what we do on Sunday.
