One of the qualities that we have always wanted to possess as a church is a culture of generosity. It has always been our desire to be as generous as possible toward our community. We do that through big events like the Egg Drop. We do it through small gestures like the Crazy Love Stimulus packages that gave out on Sunday. One of the other ways we do it is through getting behind our community and supporting what they are doing.
Tonight I got to say a prayer at the beginning of the Opening Ceremony for the Myrtle Grove Optimist baseball league. While there I got to snap a few pictures of the “Lifepoint Church” baseball team. No, I don’t coach it. I’m not even sure any Lifepoint kids are on it. However, we heard a month or so back that they were looking for some team sponsors and we jumped all over it. Little league is at the heart of every community in America. What a great way of telling your community that you love them like supporting a little league team. We sponsor 2 little league teams in 2 different leagues.

that..is awesome!! i talked to 2 kids that were on it at the Egg Drop- they were wearing their shirts!!- they said they went to lifepoint and LOOOVVEEEEDDDDDD their group of kids at their service they got to play with!!!
