Weekend Recap // 04.26.09

Today we wrapped up week 3 of our Crazy Love Series.  This has been THE MOST ACTIVE series to date.  We kicked this series off with an egg drop that reached over 10,000 people.  We then proceeded to have over 1200 at our 3 Easter Services.  To cap off week 1 we gave away our crazy love stimulus packages and told our people to show crazy love to our community!  What a week!  Week 2 we showed crazy love to our public servants.  Week 3 we loved on our community by partnering with hands on Wilmington!  It’s been one crazy series.  Here is my rundown from today!

• The band sounded as good as they ever have today!  Drew and Patrick did a great job leading.
• I spoke with a young guy who was missing for 17 days and was found in the woods a few days ago.  His friend that he met in prison brought him to Lifepoint and he met Jesus today!  Yes, one ex-prisoner brought another to church and he found Jesus!  HECK YEA!!!!
• One of our teenagers mom’s got saved today!  It fires me up!
• It was good to speak to a gentleman who has gotten out of rehab, returned to his family, and came back to church today.
• We shared a bunch of crazy love stories today.

  shared how his lifegroup of 17 teenage boys baked brownies and delivered them to the Carolina Beach Police Department.  The boys prayed over the officers!

• Today was our third week in a row over 800 in attendance.  It’s cool to see people bringing their friends to church!

• I shared a story about a family in our church that gave away their van to an elderly lady that they have never met!!  THAT IS CRAZY LOVE!
• We blessed the generosity of this family by giving them FREE GROCERIES FOR A YEAR!

• Daryl and the staff interrupted the beginning of my message to tell our church about the award I received at Liberty University.  It was cool.
• Daryl and I actually broke into a freestyle rap slash beatbox combo second service.
• I could never receive the church planter of the year award if it wasn’t for my team and the awesome volunteers at Lifepoint!
• We hung out with friends at the beach all day.  it was nice.
• I’ve got to pack for yet another crazy week.  Monday and Tuesday I’ll be with the team at ARC.  Wednesday thru Friday We’ll be in Atlanta for the Orange Conference.  I hate missing Thr3e.  Too bad my cloning machine went down last week.
• Pray that my little guy Emery is feeling better tomorrow.  It’s hard for mom to go out of town when he isn’t feeling good.
• Who knew church could be so much fun and rewarding!  I love it!
