This post is long overdue. I’d like to introduce everyone to my assistant Jill Barbour. Jill is the brains behind any organization that I may appear to possess. As Lifepoint continues to grow it is becoming obvious that I must find a better way to respond to all the requests and emails that come in. This is where Jill steps in. I have completely handed over my calendar and email to Jill. Don’t even try to line up an appointment with me…I won’t do it. However, Jill is great at setting up meetings and making sure that I am where I am supposed to be when I am supposed to be there. Jill is not only taking over my calendar but she is also taking over my email and my facebook. Don’t worry, she’ll get the messages through to me. The goal is not to distance myself from people but rather to become more effective at what God has called me to do. My heart beats stronger than ever for the city of Wilmington to experience the love of Jesus. I also have developed a growing passion to speak into the lives of church planters. Having a top notch assistant will allow me to do a better job at staying on task and leading Lifepoint Church.
With no further ado…Please let me introduce you to Jill Barbour. Here are some little known facts about Jill.
- She was in my student ministry.
- She sat against the wall for reasons I can not divulge.
- She is married to my creative director who also happens to be the first person I ever baptized!
- She loves shopping!
- She loves my family!
- She used to blog.
- She will blog again soon!
- She likes cats.
- If she ever gets a cat she is fired.
- She is finishing up her senior year at UNCW.
- She knows more about what is going on at Lifepoint than I do.
- Her mom raises bees.

If Jill is anywhere near as creative about fulfilling her role as your assistant as her hubby is as our excellent creative director (and I’ll bet she is), then our pastor is in mighty fine hands! We love ya Jill!
You are so blessed to have her just as I am. We have all come a long way since young group back in Johnston County.( approx. 6 yrs. ago) While that seems like yesterday.
