I can honestly say that these are some of the toughest times that we have seen in the short history of Lifepoint Church. There are so many hurting people in our community. From financial distress to marital distress to addictions…the list of struggles that people are facing is lengthy.
For some reason I started thinking about the chorus of this song and I think it rings true…Aint no easy way out! Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Stand up and fight! It’s worth it! God is in the restoration business…don’t quit.
I think sometimes you and I must be channeling the same thoughts….but Rocky Balboa thoughts? Now that my friend is kinda scary.

Seriously, I see the same level of pain and need in our church, and it burdens me as well. Thank you pastor for having a heart that takes notice of such things.
I agree with both Jeff & Eddie. Life is tough & full of highs & big-time lows & disappointments!!! Life is going to knock you down again & again !!! We have to just keep getting up & fighting & refusing to give up – no matter what!!!! But we absolutely need God in our corner, or we will be knocked out!!! There are many different ways people look for to ease the pain – alcohol, drugs, sex, ect. These are all just bandaids that just provide temporary relief. Jesus never promised us an easy life, but He will never leave you or forsake you. He is always in your corner telling you to get up off the mat and fight, and don’t you dare try to fight your fight without My leading or you will lose!!!! Jesus is always the Victor & He must take total control of our lives & continue to turn to Him to get us up off the mat and fight another round.
