Wow! The post must begin with that because I don’t have any other words to describe it. When planning an event like this we really didn’t know how many people to expect. The last two weeks I have been encouraging people to take this step of obedience but I never really knew how many people would do it. When all was said and done we had 42 people get baptized today. I don’t know exactly how many people came out but I would guess in the 200′s. It was an incredible sight to see so many lifepoint people at the beach celebrating new life.
God is Good!
We baptized mothers and daughters…Fathers and daughters…husbands and wives…children. It was both humbling and exciting. Humbling that God would INvite me to be apart of such an awesome move of God and excited that we get a front row seat for it.
After the baptism we had a good old fashioned pot luck. Everyone brought sides and deserts to accompany our hotdogs. The food was in abundance. Once we started eating I had two people that came up and asked it if was too late to get baptized…NEVER!
I want to thank our awesome team who helped pull off this celebration. We had a bunch of people that put in tons of hours to make today happen.
If you serve on the Dream Team I want to thank you for being Jesus to our community. You had a major part in every person that got baptized tonight! Never forget that! This is a team effort. Jesus is the coach and the rest of us are playing our roles on the field.
