Today we wrapped up our 3 week series called HOPE. Here are my quick thoughts:
- This series will forever be known as the “Audible Series.” God changed our plans about two months ago regarding this series. I’m glad we listened.
- We began this series 3 weeks ago with people writing down the areas of their life where they feel hopeless on canvas. Our team sewed them together into an amazing backdrop.

- We opened up with 2 songs today: Your Name High and Tear Down the Walls by Hillsong UNITED.
- Our team reworked Tear Down the Walls and it was awesome!
- We’ve got a bunch of stuff on the horizon.
- Midtown Campus Launch–September 13 @ 6pm.
- NEW SERIES: You Asked For It–September 13 (Both Campus’)
- IGNITE student ministry: Wednesday, September 16 @ Midtown.
- Life Groups begin: September, 20th.
- We closed out the series by showing a powerful video by Louie Giglio called “Anchored to Hope.” It was intense…video works.
- We shared communion together as a church today. Communion is a great way of remembering the HOPE we have in Christ.
- During communion, the band played The Wonderful Cross which flowed into Shout Unto God.
- During Shout Unto God we lit up the background to reveal the word “HOPE.” The visual was powerful.
- Our creative team had to move in stealth mode today to take down the center screen to reveal the background. Good work guys!

Has there ever been a sermon series so timely and needed, both corporately and personally? If it was audible for you Pastor it was even more so for many of us who were so deeply affected by it. Because of the “HOPE” that we explored together over the past three weeks and during the “Hope Experience” on that Wednesday, God has renewed a hope in me that is different than ever before in my 55 years. I thank God for Lifepoint Church, for my pastor and staff, for the people of Lifepoint so beloved by me, and for a fresh, real HOPE that is living and breathing by the power of His Holy Spirit. The “joy of my salvation” is alive!
