It’s late…I’m spent…I am excited…If I don’t write this tonight then what took place today may only live in the foggy recesses of my brain. Here goes nothing.
- Today will forever be MONUMENTAL for us as a church. Today we became 1 Church in 2 locations!
- Lifepoint Midtown became a reality! (more on that later)
- We kicked off the first of three weeks where I am building my messages around questions that have been sent in via text or email. Many of these questions are INTENSE!
- We began today by tackling the most frequently asked question topic…Marriage and Divorce.
- It’s safe to say that today got very tense and very real.
- The bottom line is that Marriage is God’s Idea…Divorce was ours. Go here on Tuesday to watch the message.
- This morning’s services were powerful! I had the privilege of praying for a lady named Trisha who is battle leukemia. Join me in praying for healing.
- Our band did an INCREDIBLE job covering Jordin Sparks’ song “Battlefield.” It was an incredible way to kick off the message.
- We ended the service today inviting married couples to stand if they were determined to fight for their marriages. We then invited singles to stand if they are committing to honor God in their dating. It was a powerful moment that I was not planning for.
- I had a very huge foot in mouth moment during the second service. I’ll see if our guys can post it for you to get a good laugh…you just have to wait for it.
Back in January I felt that God was leading our church to take a huge step this year and launch another campus. I had no idea exactly where and what it might look like. Tonight I got to see it happen.
- We kicked off Lifepoint Midtown tonight at 6pm!
- I was a ball of nerves. I know I’m supposed to “just have faith” and I did but I was still a ball of nerves.
- Every church should have to launch a campus every couple of years to remind you what it was like to have those, “dear God” and “Oh Crap” moments.
- I must report that God is faithful! Tonight was incredible.
- Our Midtown band did a phenomenal job leading worship.
- When the service started the room was looking pretty packed. By then end of the night we had 188 people in attendance. Around 115 were first time guests!
- I knew that this would be a younger crowd with less married couples so I tweaked my message this afternoon.
- I really enjoyed preaching tonight.
- It is strange trying to figure out what to do with myself on Sunday afternoons???
- We had six people raise their hand tonight at Midtown saying they were beginning a relationship with Jesus.
- Here is a twitpic from the back of the room.

Were you at Lifepoint Ashley or Lifepoint Midtown today? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Awesome! So proud of you guys.
Great service and the band rocks.
