Hey Eric,

I appreciate your honesty. Truth be told I have had to deal with one insecurity after another as a leader and pastor. I think insecurities are opportunities for Jessu to shine! I think I just might do a series of blog posts on insecurities that i have had to deal with. Thanks for the idea.

My commitment would entail being totally sold out for Jesus in my ministry. I still have a few insecurities to let go of first. Or “pounds to shed”. But a little sign that hangs in my kitchen that my grandmother gave me motivates me each morning to keep training. “When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I would have not a single bit of talent left and could say, “I used everything you gave me.”

My marathon is weight loss & yes I have done a great job of it so far but I am at a critical turning point. I have hit the plateau partly because it’s a natural part of the process. I think also because when I break through the other side – who will I be? I have no idea who the person is waiting for me when I get to the other side. Not knowing is the hardest part of change. It’s also what makes you stronger.
