“Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the Lord your god, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you.”
Asa, the King of Judah, did not rely on the Lord and therefore missed out on what God was capable of doing. Anytime we rely on ourselves or someone else we run the risk of missing out on what God wants to do.
You fill in the gaps–
“Because you relied on ______________, and did not rely on the Lord your god, the ___________________ has escaped you.”
Are you relying on anything other the God?
wow. god has recently opened my eyes and this makes sence. last weekend my battery went in my van on way to church go figure. well that was the first day i was going to tithe the right way in trusting. I guess the devil didnt like that. but long story i took the only money i had for tithing and bought a new battery. as i thought an prayed and beat myself over my decision then readin this..I realize i relied on myself. i could have gotten a ride 2 church. tithed and left a window for god to bless me trusting he would take care of the battery thing. next time I am gonna know. thanks for the eye opener.
Selina,
