Exhausted! That is how I feel this morning. This has been one crazy weekend. I’m sitting on the couch at home listening to some music by The Glorious Unseen and reflecting on all that took place this weekend. I’ll do my best to recap it. Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments section.
- I kicked off Saturday by attempting a 12 mile run. The weather was hotter than expected so we decided rather than running 12 we should do 13.1 and call it a half-marathon. Why??? just because.
- I got to see a great couple that is part of the Dream Team get married Saturday Afternoon. Congrats Randall and Eden!
- Saturday night I went to a concert and stood on my jello like feet and legs for about 4 hours.
- I coudn’t sleep Saturday night. I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve.
- Sunday was a long day but an Awesome Day!
- Pastor Tim Blevins and some of his crew from Life Community Church brought a team over to help us set up and tear down yesterday. Rather than having a church service they decided to have their church serve other churches yesterday! INCREDIBLE! And…they brought donuts!
- We had a guest band, The Glorious Unseen yesterday at Lifepoint! These guys are in the top 5 bands that resonate with me. There is a depth and honesty in their music that I can’t explain.
- I closed out the Urban Legends Series by tackling the legend that says that, “Good People Go To Heaven.”
- The truth is that “Good people don’t go to heaven…Forgiven people do!”
- We saw 12 people turn in connection cards saying that they began a relationship with Jesus!!!
- The Glorious Unseen played 7 shows from Friday night to Sunday night. Their passion never faded.
- Midtown was packed last night.
- We closed out the night with a mini-concert that was a huge blessing and a really special time of worship.
- I’ve got a huge appreciation for the band and for their lead singer Ben Crist.
- I’m taking off today with some of the team and heading to Charlotte for Impart with Pastor Steven Furtick and the Elevation Crew.
- I want to say a huge thanks to Jay and Deb Edwards for being such awesome hosts for the band!
Jeff and LP Staff,
Thank you for introducing us to the music of the Glorious Unseen. Hosting them was a pleasure. We hope everyone enjoyed the worship experience as much as Deb and I. Travel safe, and again thank you for what you pour out into our church.
