Scripture: 2 Chronicles 31:20-21–“Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. And every work that he undertook in the service of the house o God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, seeking his God, he did with all his heart, and prospered.”
Observation: This passage rides on the heels of Hezekiah detroying the pagan altars(v.1) and calling the people of Judah to tithe(v.5-10) of their possessions.
Application: Everyone wants to expereince prosperity. We want to prosper in our finances, in our families, in the workplace. We desire properity. We want to be prosperous but do we want to do what is necessary to prosper? That is the question? What altar is standing in the way of your prosperity? What tithe have you been withholding that needs to be released in order for you to prosper?
Don’t just desire prosperity but do what is necessary to receive it.
The people of Judah tore down their Altars and placed God first and every work that Hezekiah undertook prospered.
Prayer: God I ask you to tear down any altars in my life. Remove from me anything that is seated on Your thrown. I honor You and obey You by putting You first. Help me to position myself to receive all that You have for me. Amen.
