I was on vacation this weekend so today’s recap comes from our executive Pastor Daryl Strickland. Here is the run down.
- The team overcame a lot of obstacles to make today happen.
- First was our custodian arriving 25 minutes late.
- Next was a host of technical issues which lead to a couple of trips to our midtown campus to borrow gear.
- Our screens went all blue for the start of the message.
- Today message was on honor and here are some highlights:
- God honors those who honor him and he despises those how think lightly of Him. 1 Samuel 2:30
- Honor = FULL reward and dishonor = Zero reward.
- Honor is to esteem or value.
- Honor affects everything.
- Honor starts in the heart and starts with God.
- Honor is given, not earned.
- Honor is not to be confused with respect
- Honor is a lifestyle.
- Honor is a 360 Degree thing Matthew 10:40-42
- Our three services have three very different crowds.
This Sunday begins a much needed series featuring guest teaching via video by the Money Master himself…Dave Ramsey! I am pumped to share the teaching that ignited a spark in my family two years ago with the Lifepoint family this weekend.
