About this time, God is re-establishing the people of Judah through the leadership of Hezekiah. The fourth thing that Hezekiah teaches me is the simple principle, “as goes the leader, so goes the team.”
The people of Judah were in a spiritual flat spin spiraling away from God and his plan for their lives. Hezekiah steps on the seen and reorients the entire landscape. One man of influence reroutes the spiritual destiny of an entire generation.
By 2 Chronicles chapter 31, Judah has torn down the pagan altars, rebuilt the altar of God, tithed to God and celebrated the Passover.
As the leader honors God so the people honor God. As the leader dishonors God so the people dishonor God.
