My Marathon Recap Pt. 2

This marathon experience has taught me a tremendous amount of things about myself and life in general.  Most people that knew that I was training for a marathon told me that I was crazy and that there was no way they could ever do something like that.  I find that statement funny because it was the same thing I said a year ago.  I used to tell people that if you ever see me running you should run too because somebody is behind me with a gun!

It’s safe to say that after over 500 miles of training and 26.2 miles last Saturday that I was wrong.  During my training several thoughts occurred to me, the first of which is:

You’ll never know until you try.

It’s amazing what we could accomplish if we were just willing to give it a shot.  Too often we focus on why we can’t do something rather than why we can.  I guess you could say I got tired of living in the little box of “what has always been.” BREAK OUT!  TRY SOMETHING NEW! You never know where it may take you.

For you viewing pleasure, here is part 2 of my marathon run.  If you missed part 1 you can watch it here.

I have run 20 of these things but I never thought about running commentary. I want to hear the commentary at mile 23. My hats off to you for not just running the thing but doing video throughout.

I was thinking about running a marathon… and you are so motivating me. Thank you for your funny inspiration… can you run along with me? And I am on the edge of my seat… did you beat Santa?
