Another insight I learned about myself and life while training for this marathon was this:
Running a marathon is like eating an elephant, it seems impossible, but if you’re gonna do it you better start somewhere.
I never would’ve thought I could accomplish what I did last weekend. I would’ve told you that it was impossible. It’s amazing what is possible if you just simply start.
By the way, here is the third installment of my amazing Marathon footage. If you missed part 1 and part 2 you can click the appropriate links.
I’ve loved all three videos; keep them coming. Couldn’t be there in person, but I get the idea…So, good to see Aaron and Hi to Jeff. Aaron’s mom (Bev)
Keep it coming, I appreciate every second! Your son rocks!
Great to see your family in this episode! I don’t know how you didn’t fall down and crack your skull filming this thing while running …
Based on your 1/2-time it looks like you ran a negative split – that is a difficult thing to do!
Hey Joe,
I just had to google “negative split” to see what in the world it means. If we did it was purely an accident. We were very intentional not to get caught up in the hype and start too fast. I think it worked well for us.
