Yesterday we celebrated our 4th Birthday as a church! It was the greatest worship gathering that we have had…so far! I have never been more proud of our Lifepoint team than I was yesterday. Countless hours, planning, and volunteers went in to prepare for this celebration. I’ll do my best to recap all that took place.
- We brought the whole church together for one celebration service at Kenan Auditorium.
- Our teams arrived at 7am to start setting up. They had to work at an incredible pace to get the place set up.
- The serviced kicked off with some special videos from some of the pastors that have greatly shaped my life. Thank you Pastors Matt Fry, Perry Noble, Steven Furtick, Rick Bezet, and Dino Rizzo!
- Our KidZone kids and team joined our band on stage for the first 2 songs: Rise and Sing and All because of Jesus.
- Pastor Daryl kicked off his announcements by having everyone do the wave. I don’t think that has been done in a church service before!
- He also shared that thanks to the generosity of Lifepoint we will be drilling 6 wells in Namibia this year. Where’s Namibia?
- We baptized over 30 people!
- Probably the craziest news is that I preached in dress pants with my shirt tucked in! And I liked it! Pics to come.
- Our dreamteam served with all they had!
- I think 95% of the attendance was ON TIME!

Awesome, just so awesome this past Sunday!! My wife and oldest son had never been baptized… it was a strange thing to approach at first. But the more time I thought on it, prayed about it I knew it would be a life changing event. I have been looking for some 20 years for tribe to call my own. In that time I’ve been to half a dozen churches, some better than others. When we 1st moved to Wil we asked around for a church. I heard about PC3, but for some time our turn-by-turn directions could NOT help us find it. One day in October, we saw the Lifepoint sign & decided to give it a try. On the drive to the service that Sunday I commented to Rebecca, my wife, that I would like to find a church that rocked as hard as the music on 88.5 “the Edge”, and imagine my surpise when Lifepoint did just that!! We’ve been “at home” ever since. My son loves the church & the youth ministry, & Rebecca & I have signed up to serve, Lifepoint being the 1st to ever ask. We’ve always wanted to give more, but have always felt uninvited, less than worthy, or afraid to claim our commitment in front of the world. Lifepoint, because of it’s no-holds barred approach to loving Jesus & loving life, have filled me with the confidence to step up & speak out. Lifepoint has rocked our world, and we hope to rock it’s world right back the next 4 yrs… Happy Bday Lifepoint, and thank you Jesus!!
So proud Jeff! Christopher & I visited Lifepoint three months in and little did we know that you & Michelle would become mentors for our church plant a few years later! We love Lifepoint and have been so blessed by you guys! Lifepoint’s influence has extended all the way to Ohio and beyond. That is awesome!
I thank God every day for Lifepoint and what it has brought into my life. Being baptized on Sunday was beyond awesome. I agree – the Dream Team was amazing and all things considered, the service went so smoothly. Made me so proud to have found a home at Lifepoint and so excited to serve God in any way I can. Many thanks and high fives all around!
