Drained, defeated, and depleted, Daniel was weary from 21 days of fasting and mourning. As he cries out to God on behalf of his people he is met with an unexpected visitor. In very supernatural fashion Daniel receives a vision from a messenger of God who tells him that his prayers have been heard. Upon sight of the messenger all remain strength left Daniel and he collapsed. This is the message he received.
“Then the one who looked like a man touched me again, and I felt my strength returning. “Don’t be afraid,” he said, “for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!”–Daniel 10:18-19
Isn’t that what many of us need today? A touch from God and a word of encouragement. “You are VERY precious to God!” Never forget it!
