Yes, it’s true! When I was in college I was dating a girl who dumped me the day AFTER valentines!
THE DAY AFTER!
Getting dumped hurts your heart. Getting dumped after Valentine’s hurts your wallet! Getting dumped is painful enough but getting dumped the day AFTER you spend all your money to take her somewhere nice and buy her some stuffed bear plus a dozen roses really stinks!
Hopefully nobody gets dumped this valentines…but if you do…know that Lifepoint Loves You!
Anybody got any bad Valentines stories to share? I’m all ears!

I’m not supposed to share this little nugget, but my day started off pretty bad..
Mom woke me up around 8ish and told me Dad was gonna take us all out to dinner this evening. That was cool since this is the first Valentine’s day in years that I haven’t had a date. Then she came back in my room and asked me where I had parked my truck last night (I sometimes park it on the other side of the yard from the driveway).
Well, turns out that my truck, along with my iPod, my guitar, my pedalboard, my wireless system, ALL of my school books, binders, ID and parking pass, AND my $2000+ sound system had been repo-ed..I may have cried a little.
So Dad made a bunch of phone calls and me, him, Mom and my sister piled into Mom’s car to go to Wilmington to get my truck back. We finally find the place and promptly find out that they aren’t going to be open until 11 am tomorrow morning. Soo, no truck for me which means I’m gonna miss ANOTHER day of school (I have no books or parking permit..or transportation since we live 40 minutes away from the school). I gotta be honest, if my family hadn’t been there with me, I may’ve done something stupid.
But then we went to Zaxby’s, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks (side note: the white mocha frap is AMAZING with hazelnut and caramel), Best Buy (where Dad gave me $25 as a V-Day present) and Krispy Kreme.
I then came home, practiced for this weekends concert with my sister and finished mixing vocals for my new song.
Soo, today ended out pretty good.
1 Thessalonians 5:18: Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.
yikes! sorry to hear about your day. I hope you get your truck back today. Zax, Barnes, and KK make for a pretty good conclusion though!
