I got teary eyed reading your post and the comments, and yes i cried through both services. The first service watch Mikayla be baptized was what started the water works, I love that girl and have had the honor of pouring into her life this past semester as one of her leaders. In the second service I was overwhelmed at all the students, the I'm so UG shirts, and seeing my good friend (who I invited to lifepoint what what!) Matt, and Scott who is a friend of my good friends (I totally peeked and saw his hand go up in the air the sunday he was saved btw). And I cried during Give me Faith because its one of my favorite songs and I was nearly coming out of my skin i was so overwhelmed with joy and love during One thing Remains.
It was just a freaking awesome sunday

Our recent move has us in Michigan these days, but it was great to be in Wilmington for the birthday celebration! Thought it was cool that the week before, as we are searching for a new church home in our new state, that the church we visited has as their motto "whatever it takes". WIT on their t-shirts and coffee mugs. So sitting at Roland Grise on Sunday and hearing you preach about doing "whatever it takes" reminds me that God has a message for His people and He can preach it from any stage...or state!

Laura,

I love it! Your story is so inspiring! How awesome that Jennie invited you and you took a step of following Jesus! You were part of one of my most favorite lifepoint moments ever!

and yes...I did get punched in the face, "in Jesus' name!"

I was baptized yesterday by the greatest pastor with my best friend Jennie that invited me to Lifepoint and my friend from my life group, Jessica, that inspired me to take the step of baptism...and my Mom came too!

I am so grateful for you and every person in the lifepoint family. God brought me to you guys right on time! My faith is the strongest it has ever been, and I know there is so much more to come!!

And P J, as many times as you say, "In Jesus' name, I'll punch you in the face," I guess it was only a matter of time before it would really happen...bet you didn't think it would go down like that. I'm just sad I was at first service ;)
